Nick DeAngelo

A Niagara Falls Attorney, Wojtaszek political operative and former vendor of Western Region OTB.

DeAngelo was accused of forcible rape while in High School, but somehow managed to get youthful offender status so his record could be sealed and hidden from the public as well as his future victims. However, one group of people surely knew about DeAngelo’s background-the Wojtaszek/Western Region OTB political machine.

In spite of his record, DeAngelo was appointed to work at Niagara County Social Services as an attorney, where he would have ready access to young vulnerable women and girls. Sadly, the predictable happened.

DeAngelo groomed and brutally assaulted by him in 2016, '17 and '18. Only when these new crimes came to light, was DeAngelo finally dismissed from his county job.

He later plead guilty to all of the assaults described above and was sentenced to six months in prison, the forfeiture of his law license and order to register as a Level Three Sex Offender. This is the highest designation, and is reserved for violent predators with a high propensity to re-offend.

Why was Nick DeAngelo allowed to work at Niagara County DSS, despite his history and given access to vulnerable young girls who he eventually assaulted? His political connection to the Niagara County GOP leadership and specifically to Boss Henry Wojtaszek.

He was useful politically, so his transgressions were overlooked. See, he also served as the Editor of the Niagara Falls Reporter, a news publication friendly to Wojtaszek, OTB and the GOP.  Sadly, this is pattern in Niagara County, as you will see in our next profiles.
